Renovated a few years ago it is set in three quarters of an acre of lawned garden in the heart of the Brittany countryside and offers a peaceful and restful holiday but still within easy reach of the Pink Granite coastline and its beautiful beaches.
Set in 3/4 acre of garden in tranquil Brittany countryside, this peaceful, homely cottage is well situated within 15 minutes of the beautiful beaches of the Pink Granite coastline.
In easy reach of swimming, sailing, riding, tennis, golf, coastal walks, cycling, excellent restaurants. Plouaret Villlage (all usual amenities) 3 miles, historical town of Lannion 9 miles.
Roscoff 3/4 hour. St.Malo 1 3/4 hours. Regret no pets.
PLOUARET
The village of Plouaret is only several minutes by car and has all the usual shops, two supermarkets, two butchers, two boulangeries, a creperie and a very good bar restaurant (daytime eating). Market day is Tuesday morning. There is also a small bar within walking distance from the house.
LANNION
The historical and picturesque town of Lannion is about a 10 minute drive from the house and set on the banks of the river with its cobbled streets and many little shops and restaurants. Just outside Lannion you will find several hypermarkets and large general stores.
LEISURE AMENITIES
Good beaches, cliff walks, sailing, swimming, horse riding, golf, tennis etc. all within easy drive from the house.
The accommodation DOWNSTAIRS consists of a large lounge with woodburning stove, french windows leading out to patio and garden at the back of the house. Three piece suite with extra chairs, dining room suite, coffee table and general furniture etc. T.V./video/satellite. A well equipped country style kitchen, also with woodburning stove, gas hob/electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge. Bathroom with bath/shower and separate WC and broom cupboard.
UPSTAIRS accommodation consists of one large double room (5ft bed) with small single bed. One twin bedded room (3ft beds). One double room (4ft 6in bed). All rooms have rugs, bedside tables and lamps, fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers and extra chairs. All beds have douvets and English feather pillows. (Full size cot available). Bathroom with wash hand basin, W.C. and shower. Garden Furniture: BBQ: Outdoor table-tennis table.
Upon arrival you will be met by ourselves or our local representative and familiarise you with the house etc., (for very late arrivals arrangements will be made for keys etc.)
From time to time Stephanie and Barry Sallows will be staying in the renovated barn within the grounds but separate from the main house and its surrounding garden, possibly with their cat, and horse who occupies the paddock within the grounds. Although on hand to be of any assistance should it be required our client’s privacy is of the utmost importance to us.
Electricity and Gas - included in the rental price. Logs - a full large log box included in the rental price after which logs - if they are required - can be purchased by the bag (through the caretaker). Central heating (when being used) is charged per day (details on request). Bed linen/towels/tea towels not provided.
